SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to launch Lithium Carbonate CIF North Asia assessment

S&P Global Platts will launch a weekly Lithium Carbonate CIF North Asia assessment from May 4, 2018.

The launch of this assessment comes on the back of consistent and growing market demand for increased pricing information for the lithium carbonate market.

The assessment will reflect lithium carbonate with battery grade quality. All origins of lithium carbonate meeting this specification will be taken into consideration in the assessment. Price points will be drawn from key importing ports in China, Japan and South Korea.

Unit & currency of measurement will be USD per metric ton.

The assessment will be published on Platts Metals Alert, page 8888 and in Metals Daily and will carry the code BATLC03 for the weekly assessment, BATLC04 for the monthly average and BATLC05 for the quarterly average.
