Platts plans to launch Roncador assessment May 1

Platts is planning to launch a new assessment for Brazil's Roncador crude oil starting May 1, 2009.

The assessment will be labeled "Roncador," and will reflect barrels commonly sold basis FOB Angra dos Reis, with sulfur content of 0.58% and API gravity of 28.3.

The underlying methodology for all Latin American crude assessments will apply to the assessment of Roncador crude: assessment time of 3:15 pm Eastern Time; minimum volume of 350,000 barrels; and loading between 15-45 days forward from date of publication.

This assessment will be published in Platts' Crude Oil Marketwire, Latin American Wire, in Platts Global Alert page 280 and Platts Oilgram Price Report.
