Platts proposes to change the basis port of the white sugar Brazil Central South Breakbulk 150 ICUMSA and Breakbulk 45 ICUMSA assessments to Paranagua. The proposed change would be effective May 12, 2016.
This proposal follows a change in market dynamics where white sugar breakbulk cargoes are no longer loaded from the Port of Santos.
Platts currently reflects Brazil Breakbulk 150 ICUMSA and Breakbulk 45 ICUMSA cargoes basis FOB Santos.
The proposed change would impact the following assessments which are published in the Platts Kingsman Daily Sugar Market report, on the Platts Agriculture Alert real time service page PA510 and on the Platts database under the specific codes: White Sugar Breakbulk Brazil 150 Premium, published under Platts code SGABD00 White Sugar Breakbulk Brazil 150 Flat Price, published under Platts code SGABE00 White Sugar Breakbulk Brazil 45 Premium, published under Platts code SGACA00 White Sugar Breakbulk Brazil 45 Flat Price, published under Platts code SGACB00
Platts welcomes all feedback and questions on the proposed new assessments and the specifications through to April 25, 2016.
