Subscriber note: Platts to move certain Asia crude data in database

Platts proposes to relocate certain Asia crude assessments from RI (London-close crude assessments) to RP (Singapore-close crude assessments) category in the Platts Market Assessment database to reflect the fact those assessments represent the value of crudes at the close of trading in Asia. Likewise, Platts proposes to relocate data for Asia crude that reflect the value of those markets at the close of trading in Europe to RI (London-close crude assessments) to align them with other crudes that are assessed at the same time. Platts expects these codes will be moved from current market data categories to the categories indicated in the table below with effect from May 1, 2014.
