SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes changes to natural gas price format

Platts is proposing several changes to its North American natural gas prices starting June 1, 2015, in order to increase the usefulness and consistency of the data.

The changes being proposed are:

1. Natural gas common and absolute ranges in the daily price survey would be increased to three decimal places and rounded to the nearest half-cent, similar to the midpoint price. Note, price ranges published prior to June 1 would remain at two decimal places.

2. Flow date product symbols for each pricing location would be added to both the Gas Daily and Inside FERC Gas Market Report First of Month price tables.

3. The common range would be removed from the Gas Daily price table, although still calculated daily and available to Platts subscribers.

Please send any comments to gas_survey_comments@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com by April 23. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing.

Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
