Important notice for Dispatch, Realtime data subscribers

Effective Friday, April 16, 2010, Platts will activate several packaging changes which may affect selected data subscribers.

First, on 16 April, all Platts Dispatch subscribers to categories CI (International Coal) and FA (Steel and Ferroalloys) will have new dispatch category MC (Metallurgical Coal) added to their subscriptions at no additional cost. If this change is acceptable, no action is required. If you do not wish to have category MC added to your account, or would prefer to have it added at a later date, please contact your Platts Customer Care representative.

Second, also on April 16, Platts will make several packaging changes which may affect selected realtime data subscribers:

(a) Several realtime coal and emissions data market centers are being combined. Realtime market center 06b is being renamed 'Coal and Emissions', and will include the coal and emissions prices currently being delivered under market centers 06a (International Coal, corresponding to dispatch category CI), 06b (currently US Coal, category CO), 06h (Emissions, categories EJ, EU) and 06l (Coal Forwards, category DC).

(b) Some prices in dispatch category MC (Metallurgical Coal) which are currently updating in market center 06a will move to 06l.

(c) Realtime market center 06e (US spark spreads, category EK) is being combined with market center 19u (US power).

(d) The LNG prices currently being delivered via market center 06c (North American natural gas) will move to a separate market center, 06j (LNG).

Platts has made every effort to insure that these changes will be transparent to existing realtime data subscribers to the affected data packages. However, if you experience issues after the change, please contact your Platts vendor partner or Platts Customer Care.
