The Platts weekly CIS export wire rod assessment was at $998.75/mt FOB Black Sea on April 8, down $20/mt from April 1, according to S&P Global Commodity Insights data.
No offers, bids, trades, or indicative market values for the Black Sea wire assessment were heard on the day because of market disruptions resulting from the escalation of the Russia-Ukraine war.
The FOB Black Sea wire assessment was based on the most recent price indications for Turkish export wire rods, adjusted by the demonstrated relative spreads between Platts FOB Black Sea and FOB Turkey wire-rod assessments.
