Effective April 11, 2011, Platts will begin assessing Buckeye Pipeline shipments of CBOB and Premium CBOB for Pennsylvania, known as CBOB-PA and PCBOB-PA, respectively.
The prices will be linked to Platts' front-month NYMEX RBOB futures assessments. The assessments follow feedback from the industry citing Buckeye Pipeline's limit on RVP for Buckeye Pipeline CBOB and Premium CBOB shipments to Pennsylvania (outside of Pittsburgh) at 9.0 psi pre-ethanol, which would imply 10.0 psi post-ethanol.
Platts' existing Buckeye CBOB and Premium CBOB RVP post-ethanol limit would remain at 9.0 psi, destined for locations outside of Pennsylvania, such as New York, using the Buckeye Pipeline system.
Buckeye CBOB-PA and PCBOB-PA prices will be published in Oilgram Price Report, US Marketscan and PGA page 14 and 570.
In addition, following feedback from the industry, effective April 11, 2011, Platts' USAC Laurel CBOB and PCBOB assessments will also reflect supply with 10.0 RVP after ethanol due to the quality of CBOB and PCBOB moving on the Buckeye system bound for Pennsylvania.
