S&P Global to discontinue CFR Russia polyethylene, polypropylene assessments

S&P Global Commodity Insights will discontinue weekly cost and freight, or CFR, Russia polyethylene and polypropylene spot assessments, effective July 6, 2022, in light of changed trade flows.

S&P Global understands Russia has become a net exporter of PE and increased its net exports of PP, and CFR assessments no longer reflect prevailing trade flows in these markets.

S&P Global proposed the discontinuation of the assessments on March 16, 2022, in a subscriber note available here: https://www.spglobal.com/commodity-insights/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/031622-s-p-global-proposes-to-discontinue-cfr-russia-polyethylene-polypropylene-assessments
