Based on initial market feedback, S&P Global Platts is revising the original proposal to list Tennessee, Zone 1 as a new daily North American natural gas index, starting flow date June 1, 2018.
The revised new Platts location would be defined as follows:
Tennessee, zone 1: Deliveries into Tennessee Gas Pipeline 100 Leg between Natchitoches, Louisiana, and Portland, Tennessee.
Originally, Platts had proposed the inclusion of the 500 Line between Purvis, Mississippi, and Portland, Tennessee, and the 800 Line between Winnsboro, Louisiana, and Centerville, Tennessee, in the Tennessee, Zone 1 index. They would not be included.
This new Platts location would include transactions at current ICE locations ICE Tennessee Zone 1,100 Leg Pool (Trade Date Symbol JAAER00) and ICE Tennessee Zone 1 Station 87 Pool (Trade Date Symbol JAAES00). Neither of these ICE locations would be discontinued.
