S&P Global Platts has launched a dirty Aframax tanker assessment from the US Gulf Coast to East Coast Canada, effective April 3, 2017.
The new assessment reflects an established trade route for crude oil and dirty products transported on Aframax vessels from the US Gulf Coast to East Coast Canada, and is based on modern Aframax tonnage.
The assessment was first proposed in a subscriber note published February 2, 2017 (http://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/21778277).
The new assessment reflects 70,000 mt cargoes and is published on a Worldscale basis. It reflects loadings from Corpus Christi, Houston and the Port of South Louisiana, with discharge at Quebec, Come by Chance and Saint John. Platts also publishes the equivalent US dollar per metric ton value for this assessment.
