SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts adds new rationales for BFOE, Europe fuel oil

As part of its continued commitment to market transparency, Platts will begin publishing assessment rationales for two more European benchmark assessments with effect from May 1, 2015. These new rationales cover Platts assessments for Brent Cash BFOE M4 and Fuel Oil 3.5% 500 CST FOB Rotterdam Barges.

These new rationales complement existing market analysis and commentaries by providing specific details regarding how Platts editors arrived at these published assessments.

The new fuel oil rationale -- along with Bid, Offer, Trade and Exclusion data summary pages where relevant -- will appear in Platts European Marketscan, and on Platts Global Alert. The new BFOE M4 rationale and BOTE data will appear in Platts Crude Oil Marketwire, Platts European Marketscan and on PGA.
