Platts to move MOC timestamp for Asia UCO and UCOME assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will change the timestamps of Platts Asian Used Cooking Oil and Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester to 16.30 Singapore time, from 18.00 Singapore time, effective May 2, 2024.

The changes are for the following assessments:

• UCO North Asia (AUCOC00)
• UCO FOB Straits (UCFCC00)
• UCOME FOB North China (UCFCA00)
• UCOME FOB Straits (UCFCB00)

Platts assessments are designed to reflect repeatable market value at the close of the assessment process.

This change is intended to better capture the concentration of trading activity in the Asia markets.

As part of the change, the Platts e-Window communication tool will not accept new bids or offers after 4.00.00.000, and the market close would reflect 4.30.00.999. No more price changes will be accepted after 4.29.00.999.

Source market data such as bids, offers, trades and indicative values would only be considered for the assessment if received before 16:30 Singapore time.
