About Commodity Insights
01 Apr 2024 | 12:00 UTC
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, started publishing new assessments for the US Gulf Coast gasoline market showing the spread between existing waterborne FOB barge assessments and the corresponding prompt cycle Colonial Pipeline assessments for the same grade, with effect from April 1, 2024.
These spreads will bring greater transparency to the waterborne USGC gasoline market and will be linked to the existing Platts barge assessments reflecting parcels of 50,000-125,000 barrels loading 10-18 days forward from the day of publication.
The list of spread assessments Platts publishes is as follows:
Assessments | Codes |
Gasoline CBOB 87 USGC waterborne-pipeline spread | AWTRD00 |
Gasoline Premium CBOB 93 USGC waterborne-pipeline spread | AWTRE00 |
Gasoline Unl 87 USGC waterborne-pipeline spread | AWTRA00 |
Gasoline Unl 89 USGC waterborne-pipeline spread | AWTRB00 |
Gasoline Unl 93 USGC waterborne-pipeline spread | AWTRC00 |
The new assessments appear in Platts US Marketscan, Oilgram Price Report, Platts Global Alert and Platts Refined Products Alert pages 156, 330, and 331.
