Change to foreign exchange rates

S&P Global Platts will begin publishing Platts-assessed foreign exchange rates effective April 1, 2019 in place of those previously received from Tullet.

The change affects the following exchange rates that appear in Platts Metals Alert, Platts Metals Daily, Platts Metals Week, Platts Metals Week Price Notification Monthly Report, Platts Steel Price Report, Platts SBB Steel Markets Daily and Platts Daily Briefing: US$ per GBP 2:30 pm US ET, symbol GBPUS00, name changing to USD.GBP London close; US$ per Aust$ 2:30 pm US ET, symbol AUDUS00, name changing to USD.AUD Singapore close; US$ per JpnYen 2:30 pm US ET, symbol JPYUS00, name changing to USD.JPY Singapore close; and US$ per Euro 2:30 pm US ET, symbol EURUS00, name changing to USD.EUR London close.

In addition, the symbol AACZJ00 MXN-USC Spot has been discontinued. Please refer to symbol AAFEW00, which is the Platts-assessed MXN.USD foreign exchange rate for the Mexican peso to US dollars. Platts Mexican aluminum and steel scrap price assessments will now use AAFEW00 for all conversions.
