SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to boost frequency of Brazil's HRC, rebar assessments

Platts proposes to increase the frequency of its domestic Brazil hot-rolled coil and rebar prices assessments to weekly from monthly. This increase in frequency would take place effective July 1, 2016.

Currently, the hot-rolled coil domestic produced ex-works Brazil monthly price assessment (product code: SB01138) and the rebar domestic produced ex-works Brazil monthly price assessment (product code: SB01190) are published on the first business day of each month.

Platts intends to increase the frequency of these assessments to weekly to be published on the last business day of the week, thereby capturing changes to an increasingly liquid spot market through the course of the month. These price assessments are only published on the SBB website and price analyzer. All other specifications would remain the same.
