S&P Global Platts will add LNG freight costs from Bontang, Tangguh, Singapore and Bintulu into some of the existing discharge ports listed, thereby introducing 12 new voyages in total to the following destinations: Japan/ Korea (Futtsu), South China/Taiwan (Guangdong Dapeng) and West India (Dahej).
Platts first proposed adding these freight routes and others on March 1, 2019.
Following industry consultation, Platts will not launch freight route costs into Southwest Europe (Huelva); Northwest Europe (Zeebrugge); Northeast US (Everett); Brazil (Salvador Bahia); Argentina (Bahia Blanca) and Kuwait/UAE from Bontang, Tangguh, Singapore or Bintulu due to market trade flows.
These will be published in Platts LNG Daily and on the Platts Natural Gas Alert (PGN) page 1025, from May 1, 2019.
The voyage length in days for these voyages are estimated as follows:
Days Futtsu Dapeng Dahej Bontang 6 4 9 Tangguh 6 5 11 Bintulu 6 3 8 Singapore 7 4 6
The loadport costs assumed are as follows:
Loadport cost (USD) Bontang 90,000 Tangguh 30,000 Singapore 75,000 The load port cost for Bintulu will be MYR800,000. Platts will convert this to USD daily for the calculation of the corresponding freight costs.
The bunker fuel basis for these routes would be Singapore.
