Platts proposes changing Egyptian granular urea FOB minimum loading quantity to 5,000 mt

Platts, a division of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to change the minimum loading quantity for its FOB Egypt Granular Urea assessment (FGUEA04) to 5,000 mt, effective May 15.

The proposal reflects changing market dynamics, and an increase in 5,000 mt cargoes trading in the spot market.

Platts currently assesses the Egyptian granular urea price based on a 6,000 mt minimum quantity threshold.

Full details of Platts fertilizer coverage can be found in the Specifications Guide available here: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/PlattsContent/_assets/_files/en/our[1]methodology/methodology-specifications/fertecon_specifications.pdf.
