SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts amends Worldscale baskets for 13 dirty tanker assessments

Following Worldscale Association circular number 19 for 2019, S&P Global Platts will amend the Worldscale flat rate baskets used for $/mt calculations in 13 dirty tanker assessments, effective Monday, April 1, 2019.

According to the Worldscale circular: "In light of recent information regarding compulsory Standby tug requirements and towage costs at Antifer (Havre rates apply) the Associations find it necessary to amend all rates involving loading or discharging at Havre".

With this amendment, the new flat rate for voyages involving the French port of Le Havre is obtainable by deducting 10 cents/mt.

For Worldscale tanker assessments, Platts uses baskets of Worldscale flat rates as a basis for $/mt calculations.
