SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes adding a price differential to Bakken assessment vs. WTI CMA

Platts proposes adding a price differential vs. WTI CMA to its assessment for Bakken crude assessed near the well head in the Williston basin.

The proposal comes after a survey of how Bakken crude trades in the market, where more than 95% of trades occur against the calendar-month average of NYMEX light sweet crude (WTI CMA).

The crude's assessment methodology and specifications will not change.

This assessment appears on Platts Global Alert Page 260, while the commentary for the market appears on Platts Global Alert page 291. The assessment and commentary also appear in the Crude Oil Marketwire and North American Crude and Products Scan.
