S&P Global Platts will publish the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation's monthly LPG official selling prices (OSPs) and OSP differentials, basis FOB Nigeria, effective April 1, 2021.
NNPC's LPG OSPs comprise of a monthly OSP differential, which is applied to an associated month average basis price as determined by NNPC.
Platts will publish the monthly OSP differentials as the information is received from NNPC, typically around the 20th of the respective month. Platts will also publish the monthly outright OSP values retroactively on the first of each month, based on these differentials and the associated month average basis prices.
The NNPC LPG OSPs comprise the following:

Isobutane FOB Nigeria Platts Butane CIF NWE Large Cargo
Pentane Plus FOB Nigeria Platts Naphtha CIF NWE Cargo
Propane FOB Nigeria OSP Platts Propane CIF NWE Large Cargo
*For the Escravos LPG Mix OSPs, Platts will use its assessments for Propane non-LST Mt Belvieu pipe and Butane non-LST Mt Belvieu pipe as a proxy for OPIS Any current month non-Tet Propane and OPIS Any current month non-Tet n Butane, which are Oil Price Information Service assessments.
Platts will publish the following NNPC LPG OSPs, effective April 2021:
• Butane FOB Nigeria OSP - ABUTA00
• Butane FOB Nigeria OSP Differential - ABUTB00
• Escravos Condensate FOB Nigeria OSP - AECRA00
• Escravos Condensate FOB Nigeria OSP Differential - AECRB00
• Escravos LPG Mix FOB Nigeria OSP - AESVA00
• Escravos LPG Mix FOB Nigeria OSP Differential - AESVB00
• Isobutane FOB Nigeria OSP - AIBUA00
• Isobutane FOB Nigeria OSP Differential - AIBUB00
• Pentane Plus FOB Nigeria OSP - APENA00
• Pentane Plus FOB Nigeria OSP Differential - APENB00
• Propane FOB Nigeria OSP - APRNA00
• Propane FOB Nigeria OSP Differential - APRNB00
Additionally, the differentials and the outright prices will have their historical data backfilled in line with prior NNPC OSPs. As such, Propane FOB Nigeria OSP, Butane FOB Nigeria OSP, Isobutane FOB Nigeria OSP and Pentane Plus FOB Nigeria OSP will have data backfilled from January 2013 to present. For Escravos LPG Mix FOB Nigeria OSP and Escravos Condensate FOB Nigeria OSP, the data will be backfilled from July 2015 to present.
These prices will be published on Platts Petrochemical Alert page 1790, in LPGaswire and in the Platts price database under the codes above.
