Platts is proposing to change the timing for its US Atlantic Coast spot ethanol assessment to "any month" timing from the current 5 to 15 days from date of publication timing window.
Under this proposal, the any month-based assessment would roll over to the following month on the first business day after the 25th of each month.
For example, "any May" would roll over to "any June" on May 26. With this timing, the buyer would have the option to nominate for any loading period during the month prior to the 25th, and would provide 5 days notice of a 3 day window to the seller. Platts is proposing a launch date of May 3, 2010, for this change, and is seeking comments on the proposal and proposed launch timing.
