SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to amend Worldscale flat rate baskets for several dirty tanker assessments

Following the Worldscale Association circular number 8 for year 2016, Platts amends Worldscale flat rates baskets that are used for $/mt calculations in a number of dirty tanker assessments, effective April 1, 2016.

According to the Worldscale circular, flat rates that involve the port of Sullom Voe were changed "as a result of a significant increase in Port Tariffs". With these amendments the new flat rates involving Sullom Voe are obtained by adding $1.93 to all rates involving this port.

In its tanker assessments Platts uses averages of the corresponding baskets of Worldscale flat rates as a basis of $/mt calculations for every route. Therefore, changes in Worldscale flat rates will affect Platts assessments as follows.
