Platts has reviewed feedback on its proposal to discontinue the weekly European and US methanol assessments currently published on Platts Petrochemical Alert page 398 and the weekly Platts Solventswire, following a subscriber note published on February 3.
Following this internal review, Platts will discontinue these assessments from May 31, 2011.
The affected assessments are basis FOB Rdam in Euro/mt and FOB USG in $/mt converted from cents/gallon.
The other daily and weekly US and European methanol assessments published on PCA 540, 541, 346, 347 and the Europe & Petrochemical Scan, will not be affected by this change.
