SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts amends proposal to launch new aromatics freight assessments

Following extensive market research S&P Global Platts proposes to amend the launch of the following new freight assessments for liquid petrochemical products, effective May 1, 2019.

Platts will launch the following new weekly freight assessments for liquid petrochemical products as follows:

Singapore-Indonesia 2,000 mt-3,000 mt Singapore-WC India 2,000 mt-3,000 mt Singapore-East China 5,000 mt-6,000 mt Middle East-Taiwan 10,000 mt-12,000 mt

After extensive market feedback Platts will not launch the following freight assessments, as previously announced on February 17, 2019:

Middle East-India 10,000 mt-15,000 mt Middle East-Singapore 10,000 mt-12,000 mt Middle East-East China 10,000 mt-12,000 mt Middle East-S E Asia 10,000 mt-12,000 mt

The following existing assessments will be changed from a cargo size range of 5,000-12,000 mt to a cargo size range of 10,000-12,000 mt, also on May 1, 2019:

The following existing assessment will be changed from a cargo size range of 2,000-3,000 mt to a cargo size range of 10,000-12,000 mt, also on May 1, 2019:

S&P Global Platts liquid petrochemical assessments refer to assessed freight rates for benzene, toluene, xylenes, methanol, MTBE, styrene monomer and MEG, unless otherwise specified.
