Platts is reviewing further requests to re-assess the current specification of the European MTBE with regards to water content.
Following recent discussions with industry participants, Platts has been informed that the prevalent standard in European transactions is a maximum water content 500 ppm, not the 1,000 ppm standard currently assess.
Please provide feedback by April 14, 2012, to Ilana Djelal, ilana_djelal@platts.com with a copy to petchem@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com.
