S&P Global Platts has launched a daily spot price assessment for CFR Turkey polypropylene fiber grade, effective Monday, March 11, 2020.
The assessment better captures the full range of the Turkish polypropylene market and complements the existing weekly CFR Turkey polypropylene homo injection, CFR Turkey polypropylene copolymer and CFR Turkey polypropylene raffia assessments.
The assessment was first proposed on January 17 in a subscriber note available here: http://ow.ly/bOZY30qeSVg.
Platts confirmed the new assessment on February 11 in a subscriber note available here: http://plts.co/rLPQ30qnlv2.
The daily assessment takes into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4.30pm London time.
The assessment is on a CFR Turkey Istanbul basis in $/mt for cargo volumes of up to 1,000 mt for delivery into Turkey within 3 to 30 days from the date of publication.
The assessment excludes import duties and reflects imported prime material with a melt flow rate of 18-35 g/10min at 230°C.
The Turkish polypropylene fiber grade assessment is published under the following codes:
Code Description
APPFA00 PP Fiber CFR Turkey $/mt
APPFA04 PP Fiber CFR Turkey $/mt WAvg
APPFA03 PP Fiber CFR Turkey $/mt MAvg
The assessment is published on Platts real-time Petrochemical Alert pages PCA 0280 and PCA 0239, in Polymerscan, on Platts Market Center and in Platts Market Data.
