Following the development of contracts for difference (CFDs) brokered and cleared markets referencing the S&P Global Platts assessments of Nigeria's Bonny Light, Qua Iboe, Forcados and Bonga crude oil, Platts proposes to begin publishing a "West Africa Index" (WAF Index) from April 15, 2019.
This assessment will be published as both an outright price and as a differential to the 30-60 day forward Dated Brent strip and will be calculated as an average of the below assessments.
Assessment Outright Code Differential Code Bonny Light PCAIC00 AAGXL00 Qua Iboe PCAID00 AAGXN00 Forcados PCABC00 AAGXP00 Bonga PCNGC00 PCNGD00
These assessments would be published in Crude Oil Marketwire, on Platts Global Alert Page 1230 and in Platts systems.
Please send all comments to europe_crude@spglobal.com and pricegroup@spglobal.com by March 29.
Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
