Platts December 2014 CER assessment

Platts plans to add a daily price assessment for December 2014 delivery United Nations Certified Emission Reductions effective March 27, 2012.

Platts will publish daily assessments for secondary CERs for delivery in December 2014, adding to Platts' existing CER assessments for December 2012 and 2013 delivery.

Platts has decided to launch the new assessment as market liquidity has grown to a level sufficient to support a daily assessment for the December 2014 contract.

The assessment will reflect individual trades of 25,000 to 100,000 mt and for delivery into the national emissions registry of an EU member state.

The assessment will be published in euros a metric ton.

Platts' assessments reflect only guaranteed delivery secondary market CERs that are compliant with the EU ETS as per the terms of the European Commission's Linking Directive.

The assessment will be published in Platts' European Power Daily publication and on European Power Alert, page EP481.
