Variation in Platts high, low, close historical data series

Please note that Platts data published as high, low and close 'bates' under a single symbol may have varying historical start dates. For example, high and low bates may be published from March 3, 2008, whereas the close bate may be published from September 5, 2012.

Certain vendors may extrapolate close bate data from the high and low bates where the Platts database contains no close data. Platts is only able to reproduce and validate symbol bates that were published by Platts.
