When the Colonial Pipeline's 19th shipping cycle becomes prompt, Platts will start assessing 7.8 RVP A-grade (87 octane CBOB), M-grade (conventional unleaded 87 octane), D-grade (premium CBOB 93 octane) and V-grade (conventional premium 93 octane) as its main US Gulf Coast gasoline assessments.
Platts will also begin publishing summer supplemental 9.0 RVP assessments for the A, M, D and V grades.
These changes reflect a seasonal adjustment to RVP levels as required by US regulations and implemented by the Colonial Pipeline system.
The date for this change depends on the Colonial Pipeline shipping cycle, but is expected to take place on or about March 25, 2011.
