Platts hosted its Crude Oil Methodology Forum in Singapore on February 10, 2009, where the idea of discontinuing several Indonesian crude oil assessments was raised.
Following industry feedback, Platts will continue to assess these grades for the foreseeable future.
The review was prompted because of declining production volumes in Belida, Attaka, Ardjuna, Cinta, Widuri and Handil Mix.
However, Platts will further consult the industry on enhancements to assessment methodology where Asia/Pacific regional grades are concerned, particularly those with low production or export volumes.
