Platts proposes update to cargo quantity, loading window for Asia bitumen assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to update the cargo quantity and loading window reflected in its daily Platts FOB Singapore Bitumen PEN 60-70 and FOB South Korea Bitumen PEN 60-80 price assessments, effective May 13, 2024.

Platts proposes that both assessments reflect spot trading activity in 3,000-7,000 mt parcels loading 15-45 days forward from the date of publication. These assessments currently reflect 4,000-6,000 mt parcels, loading 15-30 days forward.

The proposals are in line with industry feedback and observed changes in trading patterns and norms.
