Platts to add ULSD, jet and more Russian refinery netbacks

Effective March 22, 2012, Platts will enhance assessments of the refined products netbacks for Russian refineries by adding to already existing assessments a series of netback prices for three more Russian refineries, as well as adding jet fuel and ULSD netbacks.

These netback prices will be published on Platts Global Alert, in the Platts price assessment database and in recently launched Platts Russian Marketscan. The netbacks will provide values for fuel oil, gasoil and gasoline at the Kirishi refinery in the Northwest Federal District, the group of Ufa refineries in the Privolzhsky Federal District and the Omsk refinery in the Siberian Federal District of Russia.

Platts already publishes gasoil, gasoline and fuel oil netbacks for Moscow, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Syzran, Komsomolsk and Khabarovsk refineries, derived from European and Asian refined product assessments.

Moreover, Platts will also add more netbacks for already assessed refineries: gasoline netback for the Nizhny Novgorod refinery via Vysotsk derived from Eurobob ARA barges and gasoil netback for the Syzran refinery via Ventspils derived from Gasoil 0.1 ARA barges.

Platts will also start calculating and publishing ULSD netbacks for the Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod and Kirishi refineries via Primorsk derived from ULSD ARA barges, jet fuel netback for the Moscow refinery via Ventspils derived from jet fuel ARA barges.

The full details of the netback calculations will be available on Platts Global Alert pages PGA1342 for gasoline, PGA1552 for fuel oil and PGA 1432 for gasoil, ULSD and jet fuel. The full methodology and specification will be available at http://www.platts.com/MethodologyAndSpecifications/Oil.
