S&P Global Platts clarifies the Worldscale rate used to calculate the netback formula for FOB Med Naphtha Cargoes. Effective January 3, 2017, the rate is $9.41/mt.
This includes an additional 83 cents on top of the base Worldscale rate, reflecting calculated port fees in Rotterdam.
A previous note published on December 21, 2016, contained an incorrect value for the 2017 FOB Med naphtha cargo freight netback.
All published assessments for physical naphtha used the correct netback calculation and are not affected by this correction.
