Platts to discontinue Intermediateswire

In light of industry consolidation, Platts is considering to discontinue the Intermediateswire weekly newsletter and selected intermediates price assessments and commentaries.

We will maintain the assessments of global acrylonitrile, purified terephthalic acid, ethylene dichloride and vinyl chloride monomer, to be published in the enhanced Platts Polymerscan.

In addition, the Asian PTA prices will be published in the Asian Petrochemicalscan while the US cumene commentary will be published in the Europe & Americas Petrochemicalscan.

We plan to discontinue the assessments and commentaries of global butanols, 2-EH, DOP, phthalic anhydride, acetic acid, vinyl acetate monomer, di-methyl terephthalate and caprolactam.
