Balance month US spot cumene assessment

Platts is proposing to add a balance month US spot cumene assessment, with a proposed launch date of May 1.

The proposed weekly assessment would reflect cumeme conforming to ASTM D7057 available in the current month basis FOB US US Gulf Coast, for a standard volume of 10,000 barrels typically loading 5 days forward from date of publication.

As well, the assessment month would roll over 5 working days before the end of the calendar month.

For example, the balance month will roll from May to June on May 25, 2009. The proposed assessment will be published every Friday in the Europe and Americas Petrochemical Scan.

Platts is seeking comment on this proposal by March 20, 2009.
