S&P Global Platts has built two new FTP delivery sites (sftp.platts.com and sftp-delivery.platts.com) to replace two legacy FTP delivery sites.
As we have previously communicated, we anticipate that this migration will provide improved stability, scalability and overall performance in the delivery of Platts Market Data and other services.
Due to changes in our security policies, access to our new FTP sites will only be available via the secure FTP (SFTP) protocol.
What you need to do:
-- If you are already using the new sites, no further action is required.
-- If you are still using the legacy sites (especially if you connect using static IP address) we're informing you that these legacy production sites were successfully redirected to disaster recovery infrastructure, and the legacy sites will be retired on Saturday, March 9, 2019.
-- Please note that we will have new disaster recovery sites available on March 9, as well. Contact Client Services for more information.
-- To avoid disruption of service, it is critical that you take action to test, validate and migrate to the new sites that apply to your operation by Friday, March 29, 2019. (See below for details).
Note that S&P Global Platts discourages use of static IP address connections to our FTP sites.
Information for using the SFTP protocol to access the new FTP delivery sites
-- If you use a client software like FileZilla to connect, this change requires you to specify Protocol=SFTP and port=22.
-- If you utilize a script, it must specify protocol as SFTP and/or port=22
-- If you access the upgraded platform by using this new url, your current credentials/privileges will be replicated
-- If you currently connect to S&P Global Platts via SSH you should not need a new encryption key, however if you experience any issues connecting please contact S&P Global Platts Client Services
-- Web browsers do not support SFTP and are no longer supported Folder structure for sftp.platts.com
-- The folder structure for sftp.platts.com does not change
Folder structure for sftp-delivery.platts.com
-- On login to sftp-delivery.platts.com, your default folder will be your user folder (e.g. /home/SampleUser)
-- Navigate to the root folder / to view the previous folder structure

FAQs
What if I need more time to make necessary changes to automated routines?
Note that the redirect to disaster recovery infrastructure was completed so that we can extend operation of legacy sites until March 29. If you connect via static IP address instead of URL, you must change to the disaster recovery IP address by March 9 to avoid any disruption. Contact Client Services for more information.
What if, in the course of migrating to the new site, I see a "Warning -- remote host identification has changed" message?
You may receive this message when you attempt access to the new sites for the first time. We request that you click "yes" to continue access to the new site. If you experience any issues connecting, please contact Client Services for assistance.
For any questions about this migration, or if you would like to know more about other Platts Enterprise Delivery options and what data sets are available, please don't hesitate to contact us on the details below.
