SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts discontinues Dutch, Belgian power price assessments

Effective March 5, 2018, S&P Global Platts has discontinued its weekly Belgian and Dutch power assessments and replaced the assessments with daily ICE settlement prices as the European power market has further evolved towards exchange-cleared OTC and exchange-based derivatives trading, thereby reducing the requirement for independent OTC price assessments. S&P Global Platts remains committed to providing quality market information in all European power markets and will continue reporting on the above markets' activity, news, events and policy as appropriate. The assessment codes and symbols that were discontinued are listed below. Associated monthly average symbols in Market Data category EE and dynamic symbols in Market Data category PE have also been discontinued along with the associated spark and clean spark spreads published in European Power Daily, on European Power Alert pages 640, 642, 662 and 664 and in Market Data category EM. Affected publications are Platts European Power Daily, European Power Alert pages 71 (Netherlands and Belgium) and Market Data category EE.
