Platts to introduce fixed calculation for European chlorine CP

Following market consultation, S&P Global Platts will introduce a fixed calculation for its European chlorine monthly contract price assessment, effective April 7, 2020.

The decision follows a proposal on February 4, 2020, in a subscriber note available here: http://plts.co/esHh30qlaPC

The calculation will be: Platts EDC FOB NWE spot in $/mt (PHAQK00) as assessed on the first Tuesday of the month converted to euro multiplied by 0.89 EDC chlorine content minus Eur40/mt assumed production cost.
