SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts discontinues EU sugar export premium to London 5

Effective March 2, 2016, Platts has discontinued its weekly export (premium to London 5) - FAS Antwerp sugar assessment, as it streamlines the portfolio of assessments published for the EU ahead of quota abolition in 2017. Platts already reflects the current out-of-quota export market for northern Europe in its daily containers EU 45 (FAS Antwerp) flat price and premium assessments. These assessments will continue to be published on a daily basis.

Platts containers EU 45 (basis FAS Antwerp) assessment appears in the Kingsman Daily Sugar Market Report, EU Sugar Weekly, on Platts Agriculture Alert page PA1430, and in Platts Market Data under symbols SGAEA00 and SGAEB00.

From March 2, 2016, references to the export (premium to London 5) - FAS Antwerp assessment will be removed from the EU Sugar Weekly, Platts Agriculture Alert page PAA PA1432, and will stop updating in Platts Market Data under symbol SGBCB00.

Platts welcomes suggestions and views around the continued evolution of its EU sugar assessments as the market prepares for 2017 quota abolition. Please direct questions and feedback on these changes to europe_ags@platts.com and pricemethodology@platts.com.
