Platts launched an Americas Dated Brent assessment with a timestamp of 3:15 pm Eastern Time on March 2, 2009.
The Americas Dated Brent (AMDB) reflects the price prevailing during the close of the market in the Americas taking into account the rise or fall from the time of assessment of Dated Brent at 4:30 pm London Time until Americas close at 3:15 pm ET. This movement is determined by valuation of Brent cash by 3:15 pm ET and futures markets at the 2:30 pm settlement, the same as the current assessment timing for Platts cash WTI and the NYMEX light sweet crude basis. Dated Brent reflects loading for cargoes 10-21 days from date of publication.
This assessment is published in Crude Oil Marketwire, Dispatch, North American Crude Wire, Oilgram Price Report, Platts Global Alert pages 171 and 596.
