Platts to change name of Chicago DDGS assessment, April 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will change the name and amend the wording around incoterm for its Chicago Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles assessment (symbol ACDDG00), effective April 1, 2024.

Platts will change the name of the assessment to: US Dried Distiller Grains with Solubles (DDGS) delivered Chicago, to reflect more accurately the incoterm on which the market trades and the assessment is based. The name of the assessment currently reads: US Dried Distiller Grains with Solubles (DDGS) FOB Chicago Truck.

The assessment will continue to reflect trucks delivered to the Channahon, Illinois, railhead, as described in Platts Specifications Guide for Global Biofuels, available here: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/PlattsContent/_assets/_files/en/our-methodology/methodology-specifications/global_biofuels.pdf

Platts will also amend other wording in the Guide for clarity, removing references to the assessment being basis FOB Chicago.

Please send any feedback, questions or comments on the change to MRTS_AgricultureandFood@spglobal.com, and pricegroup@spglobal.com.

For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing. Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
