Platts discontinues West African crude BOTs and rationale

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has ceased publication of the West African crude Bids, Offers and Trades (BOTs) and rationale effective March 1, 2024, as the WAF Index assessment (AWAFB00) is no longer used for any derivatives settlement purposes.

Both the BOTs and rationale were previously published in Platts Crude Oil Marketwire and on PGA/PCR 1255 and 1259 respectively.

Platts will continue to publish the West African crude assessments as both differentials and outright prices.
