SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts introduces Troll crude QP from April 2019 cargoes

Following the introduction of Troll as part of the Dated Brent assessment for cargoes loading from January 2018, Platts has introduced a Quality Premium for cargoes loading from April 2019 onwards.

The new Troll QP will complement the existing QPs for Oseberg and Ekofisk.

The methodology used to determine the QP applicable to Troll deliveries follows the established methodology for Oseberg and Ekofisk As with Oseberg and Ekofisk, the Quality Premium for Troll is published at 60% of the net price difference between Troll and the most competitive grade of crude among Brent, Forties, Oseberg, Ekofisk and Troll for the full month prior to announcement.
