S&P Global Platts confirms that it will launch a dirty Aframax tanker assessment from the US Gulf Coast to East Coast Canada, effective April 3, 2017.
The new assessment will reflect an established trade route for crude oil and dirty products transported on Aframax vessels from the US Gulf Coast to East Coast Canada, and will be based on modern Aframax tonnage.
The assessment was first proposed in a subscriber note published February 2, 2017 (http://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/21778277).
The new assessment will reflect 70,000 mt cargoes and be published on a Worldscale basis. It will reflect loadings from Corpus Christi, Houston, and the Port of South Louisiana, with discharge at Quebec, Come by Chance and Saint John. Platts will also publish the equivalent US dollar per metric ton value for this assessment.
