LNG
February 29, 2024
LNGPlatts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, wishes to clarify that the conversion factor used to convert $/mt to $/MMBtu for the Japan Customs Cleared LNG import value -- published by the Ministry of Finance of Japan -- is 52, as per Platts conversion factors guide (where one metric ton of LNG is equal to 52 MMBtu).
This applies to the following assessments-
LAKPM00: Japan Customs Cleared LNG Estimated
LAKPN00: Japan Customs Cleared LNG Final
These assessments are published on LNG Daily, Platts Connect, as well as alert pages LNG0160 and PGN1021.
The full conversion factors guide can be found here: /content/dam/spglobal/ci/en/documents/platts/en/conversiontables/Conversion_Factors.pdf
