Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to launch new DDP US East Coast acrylates spot assessments, effective April 15, to provide transparency into the market.
The proposed assessments would expand on Platts' initiatives to provide glacial acrylic acid and European acrylates price assessments, as previously announced on Feb. 9.
Details for the proposed assessment are as follows:
Butyl Acrylate | 2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate | |
Purity | Min 99.5% | Min 99.5% |
MEHQ Inhibitor | 10-20 ppm | 10-20 ppm |
Basis and location | DDP US East Coast | DDP US East Coast |
Laycan | 3-30 days forward | 3-30 days forward |
Parcel size | 20-25 mt | 20-25 mt |
Unit of Measurement | Cents/lb | Cents/lb |
The assessment would take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 1:30 pm Central time, including firm bids and offers, trades, and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process.
Pricing information for materials with other specifications and terms deviating from the abovementioned parameters may be normalized accordingly.
