S&P Global Platts proposes to change the publication schedules for its Latin America oilseed and grain assessments to no longer reflect US national holidays, effective April 16, 2020, to better reflect trading patterns in the Brazilian and Argentinian spot markets.
The Latin America oilseed and grain assessments are assessed out of the Platts office in Sao Paulo.
Under the proposed change, Platts will continue to reflect Brazil's national holidays and Sao Paulo city holidays for its Brazil oilseed and grain assessments; and Brazil and Argentina national holidays and Sao Paulo city holidays for its Argentina oilseed and grain assessments.
There will be no change to the publication schedule for Brazil ethanol and sugar assessments.
The current Platts publication schedule can be found at: www.spglobal.com

On a publication day when a relevant futures market is closed, Platts proposes to assess the 'basis' or differential based on pricing information heard on that day, as is usual, but will use the futures settle from the previous business day to determine the flat price in $/mt.
