Subscriber note: Platts clarifies dates to discontinue FOB China, CFR Japan methanol

Platts clarifies that the feedback dates have been incorrectly proposed for the discontinuation of the FOB China, CFR Japan spot methanol assessments. The original subscriber note invited industry feedback to discontinue spot assessments for weekly Asian methanol basis CFR Japan (PHACG00) and FOB China (AAWVY00), Platts had requested comments and questions by November 30, 2012. However, the actual feedback period should have stated a six month period, and in this case, up till March 6, 2013. These assessments are currently published on the Platts Petrochemicals Alert (PCA) service line, Asian Petrochemicalscan and are stored in the Platts database.
